Hike to the summit of Moel Famau, a hill that sits outside of the town of Mold. Not considered quite high enough to be a mountain, but you still may find that you're out of breath by the time you get to the top of it! At the top of Moel Famau you'll find Jubilee tower with fantastic views of the rest of the Clwydian range, the Wirral and Liverpool on a clear day.
Loggerheads Country Park is just lovely for walkers. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within walking distance from Parc Farm Cottage. Running through the Park is a wooden river valley that follows the course of the River Alyn and high cliffs from within the Clwydian range of hills, with views of the aforementioned tallest hill, Moel Famau. Before you make your way back, stop for some lunch at We Three Loggerheads Country Pub.
